Swedish fashion label Our Legacy is embarking on a significant new chapter in its international expansion strategy with the establishment of its first permanent department-store concessions at Printemps Haussmann in Paris. This exclusive presence within one of Paris's most prestigious retail destinations signals the brand's growing global ambitions and represents a strategic milestone in its development.

Strategic Parisian Presence

The brand has launched two permanent concessions at Printemps Haussmann, with dedicated spaces for both women's and men's collections. This exclusive department store presence is accompanied by a comprehensive campaign that has been visible across all Printemps window displays since October 15. The campaign, shot in New York, features street-cast models and friends of the brand, creating an urban dialogue between Paris and New York that reflects Our Legacy's international perspective.

Architectural Vision and Brand Identity

The concession spaces were conceived by Our Legacy's creative director, Cristopher Nying, in collaboration with architecture practice Profan. The design embodies the brand's distinctive aesthetic DNA, characterized by a constant tension between classicism and singularity. Materials including stainless steel, translucent polycarbonate sheets, and rigid industrial-looking plastic express the refined restraint and experimental spirit that define the Swedish label.

Brand Evolution and Growth Trajectory

Founded in Stockholm in 2005 by Jockum Hallin, Cristopher Nying, and Richardos Klarén, Our Legacy has evolved from a graphic T-shirt project into one of Europe's most influential niche fashion labels. The brand initially established itself with a highly recognizable menswear line before introducing womenswear and genderless design in 2018. According to FashionNetwork.com, the brand's minimalist approach has been central to its identity and success.

Global Retail Network Expansion

Our Legacy currently operates a selective retail network combining its own boutiques, concessions, and partner retailers. The brand maintains two stores in Stockholm, one in Berlin, one in London, four in Seoul within Hyundai Department Store, and one in Tokyo at Parco. Recent expansion efforts have included a successful launch at Nordstrom Men's in New York and a temporary concession at Harrods in London running until December 2025.

Financial Backing and Future Outlook

The brand's expansion is supported by a minority investment from LVMH Luxury Ventures, secured in late 2024. This backing has enabled Our Legacy to consolidate its hybrid business model, combining direct-to-consumer sales with selective distribution and growing international presence. While the brand does not disclose its most recent revenue figures, it reported €43.6 million in 2023 and continues to demonstrate growth throughout 2024.

The establishment of a company in France, coupled with the Printemps Haussmann concessions, symbolizes Our Legacy's ambition to expand in one of the fashion industry's major global cities. This strategic move positions the brand for continued international growth and reinforces its status as a significant player in the contemporary luxury fashion landscape.
